tuned in at 0146 on Traverse City MI sdr with good S9+20 signal, pop music playing, "waiting for a girl like you" by Foreigner, nice music, thanks, at 0150 a data transmission, at 0155 rock music then off.

The data transmission at 0149 decodes with EasyPal, which pretty much runs itself and is free. It can, however be a bit balky on start-up, which is okay with a recording, but awkward when listening "live." Unlike an SSTV program, which gets regular use, these data transmissions are uncommon.
I think that I was first exposed to EasyPal for a Shortwave Radiogram program from Kim Elliott.
