Boston Red Sox announcer (and current Ford Frick Award winner) Joe Castiglione called his final game for the Red Sox today (although there are hints he may sub a game or two next year). Castiglione has called the Olde Towne Team for 42 years and recites his late friend's (former Yale President) Bart Giamatti's baseball essay "Green Fields of the Mind" following the Red Sox final game of the season. This is Castiglione's final oration of the prose, as received from WTIC 1080 AM Hartford, it runs about a minute:

Essay/Broadcast starts with "It breaks your heart...."
(Pardon the background noise, it was broadcast live in the ballpark radio booth while the crowd was still a bit noisy)
