Just visited the FCC website and was greeted by a Skull and Crossbones banner warning of Pirate radio. Hit the Learn More link button, and was served up a nice expose of pirate radio and a number of sub-links from that page. It was kind of interesting reading, thought I'd share. Here is link:
http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/pirate-broadcast-stations
One of the Sub-links is titled "Aggressive Enforcement Actions", which show the most recent bust(s). Interesting to note the action datelines 05/2013 to 10/2013, there appears to be no enforcement between those dates. It's also interesting to note that fairly sizable number of busts emanate from the state of Florida.

They clearly don't like Haitians.

Actually, NYC is closing fast (http://diymedia.net/wordpress/2013/10/30/fcc-anti-pirate-efforts-focus-on-nyc/) on becoming the top U.S. hot-spot.
I still need to dig into the FCC's new pirate map and data, but I can already tell that it only goes back to 2005 and doesn't include the full gamut of enforcement activities. Nor does it include local busts of pirates (particularly in FL).
