First time poster here. I like to keep an eye on the pirate radio station logging section of the forum, but most of the stations are from the same people and in the same general area. I've only discovered this site about a week ago, but its just something I am noticing. Anyone from Florida or the surrounding areas that has heard any pirate stations?

Hi eduhat! Welcome to the HFU board! Yes, there are few listeners from the Florida region. When you look at the various postings, you will find their QTH sometimes listed ( sometime not an exact city). Not all posters use the Pirate Shortwave section, some specialize with Utilities, Spy, Numbers, etc., so be sure to check all sections. Best... RCCI

Thanks for the welcome. I have been most interested in the pirate radio as I can see it being pretty interesting, and most of them are from up north (OH, IL) so I was hoping there was some logs of areas down here. I will have to do some monitoring of my own to find out :) I will be sure to check out the other subforums especially Utilities.

Welcome!
While there are a large number of listeners concentrated in the eastern half of the US and Canada, the listening community encompasses the entirety of the USA, Canada, and also Europe. Being in south Florida you have an excellent chance to hear the large majority of broadcasts originating in North America, and also a great chance to hear many of the Euro guys.

Its good to know I can get some Euro stuff. That is what really interests me! I will give it a listen and see what I can pick up! Any southerners feel free to chime in! :)

Hi eduhat,
Yep, I'm in the NE FL area and get pretty good reception of NA pirates & euro's to some degree. Welcome!
