Hello folks,
Newcomer here.
I registered to comment on this thread because I was listening to this exact frequency about 40 minutes earlier and much to my surprise I heard a jingle identifying the radio as "Radio Mi Amigo". Yes, I am positive. I made a recording that I submitted to a fellow SWLer younger than me with better ears and he confirmed.
Thing is, based on their web site, Radio Amigo was supposed to broadcast on 6085 kHz at that precise time, and they did. I checked the audio vs. the live stream. The program on 5980 was different, though.
Confused. Golden Oldies and Mi Amigo are supposed to be completely different radios, aren't they?

Welcome AlainFR,
Many stations are using the name Mi Amigo. The station relayed on 6085 is based in Spain, whose full name is Radio Mi Amigo International, with a well known web site.
Golden Oldies Radio is a variant of another Mi Amigo station, with irregular transmissions.
I know also "Radio De Mi Amigo", without schedule, heard often on SW and in the 1600-1700 band.
Otherwise, there are Mi Amigo stations in UK and NL or Belgium with summer temporary permits.
Just an overview of the subject...

Hello Ray,
Thank you so much for this informative reply that clears up my doubts.

Thanks Ray for explaining who Mi Amigo is.
I was often confused whether the station only mentioned Radio Mi Amigo or used the name as a continuation of the original, seduced by sentimental sympathy.
