Title: Fallout 4 ARG - Anyone in Massachusetts area picking up anything on 3450 kHz?
Post by: fiberkanin on November 27, 2013, 2220 UTC
I registered to hfunderground because minutes ago, a new morse code emerged on thesurviver2299.com...

“Calling all stations, calling all stations, calling all stations. Boston is gone, I repeat, Boston is gone. No Hope. Frequency 3450 Return Transmission. God Bless America.”

thesurviver2299.com is rumored to be a ARG (Alternate reality game) -webpage for the game fallout 4

Here’s a thread on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/1rjw98/the_survivor_2299_speculation_and_hype_megathread/ (http://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/1rjw98/the_survivor_2299_speculation_and_hype_megathread/)

I don’t have a radio, nor am i nearby Massachusetts (i live in Norway) so we need some help to check if the frequency 3450 kilohertz around the Massachusetts area are sending any clues “IRL”.

Thanks in advance.

After i posted about the transmission on 3450 kHz some people have said that it's illegal to transmit on...

I found something:

http://www.spectrumwiki.com/wiki/display.aspx?f=3400000 (http://www.spectrumwiki.com/wiki/display.aspx?f=3400000)

US283 In the bands 2850-3025 kHz, 3400-3500 kHz, 4650-4700 kHz, 5450-5680 kHz, 6525-6685 kHz, 10005-10100 kHz, 11275-11400 kHz, 13260-13360 kHz, and 17900-17970 kHz, frequencies may be authorized for non-Federal flight test purposes on the condition that harmful interference will not be caused to services operating in accordance with the Table of Frequency Allocations.

Bethsoft bought a flight test?

A woman's voice said at one point “the next transmission is at 0200 UTC”.

Activity on 3450 kHz: http://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,14073.0.html

On playing song I didn't recognize, S9 signal over a S4 noise floor.
Began sending morse code groups over the music.
For what its worth, here is the message:

AGIJM OGKGS PRIJJ BMSLII=
WIETH FDAAJ MRARN TIEES=
BLEAN OOFJA RANBR LANTA=
00000

All 5-letter groups except one, maybe the 2 I's are really an H.
