Good signal via the Atwater, Ohio, SDR ...
0016 UTC: Signal signed on and right into "Are 'Friends' Electric?" by Gary Numan + Tubeway Army and "WDOG" in Morse code.
0018 UTC: OM on the mic with ID and saying he's going to play 1984 music this evening, then "In a Big Country" by Big Country with the usual dog barking noises.
0022 UTC: Host on the mic talking about Big Country and then into "Dance Hall Days" by Wang Chung (This is my peak teenage era of music, as I was 13 in 1984 and just getting into both shortwave listening and music at the same time.).
0027 UTC: Host on mic again, jokingly(?) misidentifying Wang Chung as Men Without Hats and then into "Every Word Means No" by Let's Active.
0029 UTC: OM host talking on the mic about The Fixx and videos on MTV into "Are We Ourselves?" by The Fixx. The signal's not reaching out here to the Seattle area, but it's barely audible via the Northern Utah SDR when I checked a moment ago.
0032 UTC: OM with ID into "Situation (12" Mix)" by Yaz/Yazoo (one of my favorites from that '80s era).
0035 UTC: OM on the mic with ID and question: "What were you doing in 1984? I was f-ing around; I guess I'm still f-ing around." That was followed by "Red, Red Wine" by UB40.
0040 UTC: OM on the mic briefly into "The Politics of Dancing (Remix)" by Re-Flex (another favorite song of mine from that time).
0044 UTC: OM talking about the Olympics boycott by the Soviets in 1984, then "Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper.
0048 UTC: OM on the mic again reminiscing about 1984, then a song that I didn't catch (my phone rang).
0052 UTC: OM on the mic briefly into "A Spy in the House of Love" by The dB's.
0056 UTC: OM introducing next song, "Jump" by Van Halen.
Thanks for the broadcast of '80s hits!

Peaking S-9 on the Maryland big loop SDR, with a very wide signal on the graphic....
very good audio
DJ talk that I couldn't quite understand, along with barking dogs,
0019 "in a big country" by Big Country
0023 Wang Chung & "Dance Hall Days"--- from the movie soundtrack 'To Live And Die In LA'
0036 UB40 and "Red Red Wine", written by Neil Diamond..
(bittersweet memories of that song, as it was at the height of its popularity
at a time in the 80's when my former wife and I were separated, the first time..)
0040 -- "the politicians have become DJs" Reflex "The Politics of Dancing"
0105 "White Lines" by Grandmaster Flash.... still good signal into Maryland.
