S9 and sounding great tonight!
-
0315 S5 with local interference.
-
0333 Weak signal with country / roickabilly music.
S5. More quiet than earlier in the evening, but still enough QRN to make listening a challenge.
A little after 0400 the signal improved with 'Sunset of Ibiza' - Doctor Warren, 'When the Music's Over' - The Doors, 0415 ID and some talk, drum roll replays "When the Music's Over'
Still about S5 - 6 although audible now.
-
Really good signal on the Chetek WI SDR at 0344 UTC http://22303.proxy.kiwisdr.com:8073/
Peaking around S-6 but much stronger audio than in Maryland...
0346 tune is stumping shazam... one line goes 'I rule on land air and sea...'
'launch the polaris, the end doesn't scare us' and something about 'the third world war'
and 'the earth is cold as ice'.... kinda rockabilly
Outhouse ID, and into another tune shazam does not know at 0351--
song about 'brother will kill brother over religion' 'they killed my wife and baby...' :(
"Mercy Killing". Same style, rockabilly sounds like circa 50s-60s.
0354 Misirlou by Farya Faraji sounds pretty middle eastern music
0359 Miserlou Twist by Dick Dale & His Del-Tones says Shazam...
0401 Fortunate Son by CCR--- don't need Shazam for that one! Still coming in good on the above SDR.
0403 Into The Doors "The Crystal Ship"--- but this is not the version from the original album...??
It is definitely Jim Morrison on the vocals.... maybe a live version from somewhere? or a remix.
Thanks, Outhouse!
0407 WHEN THE MUSIC's OVER- The Doors! Love it!
I been singing it, Outhouse! LOL
"The face in the mirror won't stop.
The girl in the window won't drop.
A feast of friends, alive she cried
waiting for me, outside" !
0415 Outhouse cuts in with an ID, says he's broadcasting from his yard with battery power,
and that it is about 45 degrees, frikken cold, and
'when the music's over, turn out the lights and go back in the house,
ya freakin dumbass' HAHAHAHAHAHA
Announce your email, Outhouse-- or just email me at [email protected] or [email protected]
(don't ask what that first email address is about). Anyway, we should reconnect.
0419 Original version of 'The Crystal Ship' by The Doors, thanks Outhouse!
Off at 0422.
