Interesting, it seems they're just getting started with tests of the initial version.  They have a web site staked out at http://airspy.org (http://airspy.org) with no content so far.  Not much info yet on the yahoo group mentioned above  - sdrsharp posts "We just received the first prototypes from the fab. The tests we have done so far are very encouraging."  Seems the first version will cover 24-1750 mHz (with a low freq. version possible in the future?).

You have to join the Yahoo group to see the prototype photos, the thing is tiny...

Yes, quite small. I have not seen an official price, I heard a rumor of about 100 USD/EUR. 

I'm mostly interested in it for VHF/UHF anyway. 12 bits should be much better than the 8 bits from an RTL dongle, and the 10 MHz bandwidth opens up a lot of possibilities - like demodulating and decoding all the ACARS channels at once.
