I'm doing a new innovation on this transmission. Doing an AM stereo signal that is compatible with both Kahn ISB AM Stereo AND C-QUAM. It's a hybrid of the two systems. Either detector on the KiwiSDRs seem to manage to decode it just fine, the CQUAM decoder still suffers more from its typical platform effect.
Of course, I'm going to ram some heavy metal through it!

2001 Just tuned in, the usual strong signal from Sternradio.
2052 Still a great signal.
Sternradio: I posted a screenshot of your waterfall ID on the HFU Facebook group, and it's garnered a lot of interest - both views and comments!

Thanks for keeping the lights on at HFU Chris! I scribbled an hour long STERNRADIO again on the waterfall today for the daily screenshot.
Has anyone else giving the stereo stuff a try? Both CQUAM and SAS modes on KiwiSDRs seem to sound identical to me when it comes to L vs R separation, which is what I was hoping for.

Yeah, they seem the same to me. You could do an over the air (OTA) test: 15 seconds of single-tone left+right, then the same but left only, then the same of right only, to judge the separation.
Also noticed you are on 6966.666, because....well, you know.
2104 - TX off.

Excellent signal. Need to go mow, but wanna try the stereo on SDR to see how it sounds
<moments later> Oh well, guess it signed off in the couple of minutes between the time that I tuned in, ran to the computer & logged it, and checked an online SDR

Thanks for the report and noticing...the proper frequency! ;)
I did do drop outs like that a few times with either channel. The effects on the waterfall, those were OBVIOUS! Here is the with the CQUAM decoder, if I HARD drop a channel, and this is a flaw of CQUAM, as it fades down it'll eventually POP into a mono signal! That's one of those things you can't really *fix* about it. Just the nature of the math behind it. Most content isn't quite that...STEREO. The SAS/ISB Stereo decoders handle the situation as you'd expect and just left the weak channel disappear and that's OBVIOUS with the cans on :)
