I thought that I heard today or last night that the court order you refer to was blocked again by yet another judge, but I can't find any record of that. I must be confusing it with the zillions of other court orders in play these days.
I guess we shall have to see what happens when the dust settles.

At this point I'm numb to the whole situation. A lot of the employees who made it all work are undoubtedly getting other jobs or retiring out and escaping this mess. If VOA does somehow get spun up again, it's going to have a content factory in support the goals of the administration, and not that of its original mission and the nation. RIP, VOA.

Things don't look promising for VOA as of yesterday, at least for now--
On April 23, a DC District (trial) Court judge granted most of the preliminary injunction, in favor of the VOA employees: https://primarynewssource.org/wp-content/uploads/show_public_doc-3.pdf (https://primarynewssource.org/wp-content/uploads/show_public_doc-3.pdf)
Then on May 3, the DC Circuit (appeals) Court largely stayed and dissolved most of that preliminary injunction from the District Court, allowing the administration to proceed with their dismantling of VOA: https://www.bloomberglaw.com/public/desktop/document/PatsyWidakuswaraetalvKariLakeetalDocketNo2505144DCCirApr242025Cou?doc_id=X3KQH5JBBE994KBJR9CBJ21Q03L (https://www.bloomberglaw.com/public/desktop/document/PatsyWidakuswaraetalvKariLakeetalDocketNo2505144DCCirApr242025Cou?doc_id=X3KQH5JBBE994KBJR9CBJ21Q03L)
And most recently, on May 22, the same DC Circuit (appeals) Court refused to reconsider that stay of the injunction, allowing for ongoing open season on VOA: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.cadc.41991/gov.uscourts.cadc.41991.01208741712.0_3.pdf (https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.cadc.41991/gov.uscourts.cadc.41991.01208741712.0_3.pdf)
This is messier than a Molvanian greased yak rodeo!

Did you mean May 3rd?

Yes, thank you for fact checking and an eagle eye for fake news! Duly noted and corrected.
