0245 S9+10. He IDed as the Voice of ? before Ballsmacker finished transmitting and so he was crushed. Playing Herb Alpert tunes which are excellent.
Correctly IDed by Radiouser as the Voice of Nelson
-
0225 on Brookfield WI sdr with fair S9+10 signal, S-on with Tijuana Taxi by Herb Alpert, said Voice of Nelson, much more Herb Alpert, off at 0334, thanks for the tunes.

0248 UTC - Signal is S9 in WNY, audio is very good, playing Herb Alpert.
0255 UTC - The Voice of Nelson for I.D.
-
0244 On immediately as Ballsmacker was ending. Indistinct OM talk over end of Ballsmacker, 'Tijuana Taxi', OM w/ odd voice "you might know me … OK, that's enough about me. How about you?", 'Spanish Flea', report of an listener email, 'Zorba The Greek', DJ talk, "This is the Voice of Nelson. I repeat. This is the Voice of Nelson and I am the a fore mentioned Nelson.", 'A Taste of Honey', DJ talk, 'Whipped Cream' - all music by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass.
S7 here, some QRN.

Weak music making it directly to my radio out here near Seattle, where it's still daylight. S9+ signal amid relatively low noise also heard via the Traverse City, Michigan, SDR ...
0250 UTC: "Zorba the Greek" by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass.
0254 UTC: OM on the mic: "That was a very snappy number ... except for the part where it wasn't snappy." He then gave The Voice of Nelson ID; "And I am said Nelson."
0255 UTC: "A Taste of Honey" by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass (the number of times I was dragged as a kid through department store where this was playing on the speakers in the 1970s!).
0258 UTC: Nelson back on the mic re-introducing himself using fake movie titles from "The Simpsons." That was followed by "Whipped Cream" by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass.
0301 UTC: Nelson back on the mic talking again about his movie career (another "Simpsons" reference), then "Love Potion No. 9" by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass.
0304 UTC: Nelson with ID again, re-introducing himself with some more "Simpsons" movie titles, then "The Girl from Ipanema" by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass.
0308 UTC: Nelson says he got another email reminding himself of another role of his, then "Mexican Shuffle" by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass. By the way, Herb and a newly formed Tijuana Brass are still touring, even though he's now 90!
0311 UTC: Nelson with ID and mentioning his public service announcement "credits." That was followed by "Spanish Harlem" by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass.
0314 UTC: Nelson on the mic trying to decide what else to play, followed by "More" by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass.
0317 UTC: Nelson back on the mic, then "Bittersweet Samba" by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass, then "America" by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass. Just checked and this signal's weak but audible on my radio out here near Seattle.
0322 UTC: Nelson said his email box is empty (not sure he gave the address) and urged listeners not to be shy. That was followed by "The Lonely Bull (El Solo Toro)" by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass.
0325 UTC: ID into "Limbo Rock" by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass.
0328 UTC: "Well, I think the program has gone swell." Nelson said he has two songs left to play, followed by "Never on Sunday" by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass.
0331 UTC: Nelson said he's sad to have just one song left to play on the record, gave well wishes, and then played "My Favorite Things" (which also sneaks in part of the "James Bond" theme) by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass.
0334 UTC: Nelson said he's opening up the frequency, then off.
Good to hear you again, The Voice of Nelson - it's been a while!

252- "Zorba The Greek" by Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass.
254- OM saying that that was a very snappy number...except for the part that WASN'T snappy. IDs The Voice of Nelson (repeated twice). "And I am the said Nelson!"
255- "A Taste of Honey" by Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass.
257- OM back on the mic saying that that was wonderful. He's Nelson Schnechter. He's from several educational 50s films, apparently. Time to move on to the next number...
