Title: Vibrating Electric Football
Post by: DimBulb on January 05, 2014, 0251 UTC
So, what inspired me to Google "vibrating electric football"?  Hmmm, I don't remember but I found this blog that put me into the "laughing so hard tears rolled down my eyes" state a couple of times...

I had a couple of them. Poorly grounded electroshock devices for kids,IMO.

Ironically it wasn't far off the NFL game in those days. No offense and if you managed to make it to the 50 yard line you tried a field goal.

Jan Stenerud and George Blanda would have been proud.

I had one of those, and the baseball version.

The football was useless.  When you threw the switch, the effect was akin to disturbing an anthill-- complete bedlam.

The baseball was actually quite playable, as the baserunnners ran around a track, and the pitching and batting was done with mechanical controls... We got the idea to integrate our baseball card collections into the game, to indicate 'who' was pitching or up to bat, or who was going to be 'brought in' to pitch relief. It was quite entertaining for a good little while.

Ha Ha ! I also had one. What a fantastic precursor to Madden NFL.
I remember I thought it was magic - sort of like the first time I heard shortwave on a Knight Kit :)
