Title: Something interesting about 7377 kHz
Post by: 07code04stalker1776 on January 05, 2014, 1701 UTC
I just completed my list of loggings of E11/E11a earlier and could not help but notice that in October 7377 kHz was used for that month. I started reading the N&O Newsletter #194 From November and 7377 kHz is listed under the unknown section.

Here is the excerpt:

"Echo One heard an Unid on 7377 kHz, 13-11, 1705 UTC, ended at 1717 UTC.
Very fast CW, software indicated over 30 WPM, message containing 5F each repeated once "16286 16286 28583 28583 94874
94874 39178 39178" etc. Signal located right between BCs from Radio Romania and China international. Signed off with "109
109 00000 " though it was decoded with Fldigi so there might have been some error there. Managed to capture some 140 five
figure groups before it ended. "

E11 related?

Hi, the unid from Echo One is M24 and is not related to the E11 family which is Polish while M24 is Russian.

Thanks for the info. I looked through the Enigma classifications, but I must have overlooked it. Thanks.

Look at the general format of M14 (very slight difference).  Crank the speed up and you have M24.  That should match what has been described.
