S5-S7 signal heard via the Fair Hill, Maryland, SDR with fair to good audio despite some fading ...
2024 UTC: Male-voiced for Red Lion hotels in California.
2025 UTC: Same man with ad for membership card to be used at Red Lion hotels.
2026 UTC: Promo for Red Lion hotel's early dinner selections. These ads are all connected by the same background music, like a rotating set of messages you might hear while on hold.
2027 UTC: Promo for using Alaska Airlines miles at Red Lion hotels.
2032 UTC: The Red Lion-related promos continue.
2033 UTC: "Don't Get Me Wrong" by Pretenders.
2036 UTC: "So Alive" by Love and Rockets (one of my faves).
2040 UTC: "Lost in the Supermarket" by The Clash (my favorite all-time band. This song was deep on side 1 of the "London Calling" cassette.)
2044 UTC: "I Confess" by The English Beat. Loving this playlist so far! Some more fading affecting the signal now.
2050 UTC: "Whisper to a Scream (Birds Fly)" by The Icicle Works.
2054 UTC: "The Walls Came Down" by The Call (a great yet slightly lost '80s classic).
2058 UTC: "Road to Nowhere" by Talking Heads.
2101 UTC: "Take On Me" by A-ha.
2105 UTC: "Lips Like Sugar" by Echo & The Bunnymen.
2110 UTC: Clip of an old "Jeopardy" episode. Contestants Jack and Karen were both doing well!
2114 UTC: "Jeopardy" episode continues after a short pause for the ad break.
2120 UTC: "Jeopardy" episode continues with the "Double Jeopardy" round after a second ad break pause.
2127 UTC: Now at the "Final Jeopardy" round in this "Jeopardy" episode. The signal's peaking at S9+ at times.
2130 UTC: Contestant Karen won the game, then "In Between Days" by The Cure.
Thanks for the great tunes this afternoon!
