Title: Youtube videos featuring shortwave pirate radio QSLs
Post by: ChrisSmolinski on September 21, 2025, 2043 UTC
Episode 1 of my Youtube series of videos featuring shortwave pirate radio QSLs.  These are some older historic QSLs. I'll also be making videos of recent/current pirate QSLs.  At least the ones I've received for my logs - hint hint  ;D

Great job Chris. I've been doing this a pretty long time and, of what you presented, I only have a few of them. I was particularly impressed with Mystery Radio. Being further from them and with lesser antennas, I only received Mystery a few times. I never got an actual QSL, but obtained a sort-of email confirmation once and had to be happy with that.

Did you ever get one from WMPR? I think most of us had to settle with SSTV images.

Thanks!

I did! It came in the mail, and there's a scan on the HFU Wiki - https://www.hfunderground.com/wiki/index.php/WMPR

Which reminds me... at some point I'll need to start scanning physical QSLs as well. Maybe it would be easy to just record a video with a webcam of me holding up the QSLs?  ;D
