(I've actually wanted to have TCS T-shirts for listeners since 2004, but none of the options seemed very workable before this.)

"The Crystal Ship and many other pirate radio stations operate because we believe that free speech, including broadcast free speech, should not be limited to only those with very deep pockets who can ante up millions of dollars just to start a station. Unfortunately, licensing requirements in the United States and many other countries stipulate that one must prove they have a HUGE bank account to be licensed to do what WE are technically able to do for under four figures. We think this is wrong. Thus, pirate radio broadcasting is a form of civil disobedience.
"The Crystal Ship was founded in 1982, disappeared after 1984 and returned to the airwaves twenty years later in 2004. Since then, TCS, with hosts The Poet and The Radical, has been logged by shortwave pirate radio enthusiasts in over 30 US states and 8 countries. In 2011, The Crystal Ship was inducted by unanimous vote into the North American Pirate Radio Hall of Fame."

Last Sunday, was reviewing my wardrobe of t-shirts and was lamenting I have no pirate radio shirts (nor where to acquire them). Then a few days later out of the blue, you & Benway have shirts available.
Hope this is a pattern that is starting.

I'd like to thank you, Skeezix, and OldDXer and Fansome, and Tim R. and a few anonymous folks for their early and very generous support on this! Some of you surprised me by ordering more than one!
(I was a little concerned that it might be "one T-shirt too many" in a given time, but after just the first 24 hours we're already halfway to the minimum we need to be able to print!)
Keep it up, and you'll transform the "station T-shirt" into a positive concept for TCS!
(Some of you may recall that it previously had some negative connotations... for me....)

I'm considering getting one of these for my own, but I'm curious. what do the designs on the front and back look like? I can't see the pictures provided. (that's not a problem with your site, it's my eyes that don't work.)

They look very cool, Chanter. The front features a large three masted sailing ship flying the jolly Roger, above the ship it says "The Crystal Ship TCS" & below the ship it says "shortwave pirate radio fighting for free radio since 1982". The print is in white & yellow & the ship is white & the shirt is black. The design is large & takes up the entire front of the shirt. You won't regret getting one I'm sure.

I've belatedly realized I could have been punny with my reasoning in the last post, i.e. it's not a problem with your site, it's a problem with my sight. Boooo, I know. :P

I opted for two ink colors rather than front & back prints. I've always preferred my designs on the front-- I'm uncomfortable with people reading my shirts while they stand behind me.... for some reason...
Actually, I never would have bought that other fateful T- shirt if I'd realized that the design was mostly on the back....
Oh, and Fansome-- that's not very funny.
