Title: 3470 kHz LSB French Language Comms [via G8JNJ SDR] 2015 UTC 06 Jan 2026
Post by: R4002 on January 06, 2026, 2017 UTC
French speaking freebanders out of band operators.  Talking about propagation conditions, equipment and antennas.  Sound very much like land-based comms vs. marine chatter.  Likely the Echo Charlie guys who hang out on the 6.6 MHz band during the day...they hang out down here in the evening.

Receiver is the Wessex SDR receiver (G8JNJ) located in the South West UK.  3470kHz LSB frequency 3,470.0 MHz kHz 3470.0 kHz LSB 3470kHz 3.470.0 LSB just below the bottom edge of the 80 meter ham band 3.5 MHz and below.  Just like the 45 meter band, 90 meters is technically allocated to the aeronautical service.
