Title: Where's WWCR?

I'm sort of surprised there isn't a thread on here, yet. WWCR has been quite noticeably absent from the airwaves for a few weeks now. I guess the ice storm that hit a few weeks ago did some pretty significant damage to their TX/antennas? Does anyone here know what's up exactly?

I've used 12160 to check conditions forever at this point.

Geeez. That sounds like an expensive fix. I assume they have the money for it, BUT considering the already fragile state of private SW broadcasting, who knows.

EDIT: As of 2/7/26 at 1651z WWCR 13845 is BACK ON the air. With their usual blowtorch signal. Audio sounds good as usual. Glad it seems they were able to recover and return to air!

You are correct about 13845 but 12160 has not been on this afternoon (checked several times).  Should be on until 2000, now 1930 with no signal.
