Post by: Jim Renfrew on June 08, 2026, 0407 UTC
Strong Signal in western New York, SINPO 44333, best with 2.3 filter, 4.0 not as good

0402z  Sounds of shouting as the transmission began
0405z  Astronaut talk, no bathrooms, thousand diapers needed
0408z  "Murder, Murder" by And One
0412z  Electronic music, un-Shazam-able
0415z  "From the icy shores of Antarctica this is Stern Radio"
0416z  "Codeine, Glue and You" by Chemlab (tnx Shazam)
0424z  "Exorcise This Wasteland" by Single Gun Theory (tnx Shazam)
0428z  "Down in the Park" by Gary Numan & The Tubeway
0453z  "Stern Radio" ID, in English then German

Drake R8B, 700 ft long wire aimed west

QSLs appreciated and meticulously archived at jim(dot)renfrew(at)gmail(dot)com

Danke for identifying the station in the HFU chat.

0450 BIG SIG S-9+15 Waterfall ID. The infamous STERN RADIO!
0458 Lots of QSB. Enjoying the electronic music. The majority of the time I am receiving best on horizontal but during deep fades the vertical picks it up.
0536 Band going long. Sig down.
Station here 100% powered with LiFePO4 and the sun.

Great reception into Masset, BC at 05:24 tune-in except for summer static!  And yes, in AM not USB mode!
Playing  Lost Little Robot
Beborn Beton  at 05:30
ID in there somewhere at 05:41.  Static isn't getting any better, unfortunately!
....still going strong at 06:04 UTC with
Alien Sex Fiend and I Walk the Line
