Title: Don't forget about the Archived shows from WBCQ are great for Part 15 stations.
Post by: ThaDood on July 05, 2026, 1916 UTC
https://archive.org/details/@splatterbox3200   For years, I've been grabbing the Archived shows from WBCQ 'The Planet' for re-broadcasts on Part 15 stations. For a while Allan & Angela Weiner World-Wide were not being updated to the Archive site, but are now. That, and other shows, like Radio Timtron World-Wide, Lumpy Gravy Show, and many other, are a great FREE programming resources for Part 15 ops. You are pretty much guaranteed that no other stations around you will be broadcasting these. That said, remember that most of these are not censored and may contain F & S bombs. So, your option there.

It's pretty cool option but it's not public domain stuff. Technically you still have to pay royalties for much of the content to legally broadcast it even under part 15.

Not that there has ever been a part 15 station that's  ever got busted for not paying royalties, not that I'm aware of anyway, nor does it seem particularly likely to happen.

I know most hobbyist ignore that law - which is fine with me, I could care less what anyone broadcast, but just saying

Well, I actually told, and thanked, Allan, at WBCQ, about this and FWR the posts to here. And well, here's what he had to say:

"Thank you DOOD📻📻👍👍

Allan & Angela"

So, Allan seems cool with it.

Not really what I meant. I'm sure he's delighted to have people airing his archived shows, I'm just pointing out the royalties for the music. And again, I do realize that's usually not something part 15 broadcasters consider.

Whelp... If you are coming at it from that point, the only thing that I can contemplate there is, loose lips, sink ships, & possibly stations. That said, I do get your point. So, thank you...
