Title: Chinese RF interfering electronics
Post by: Antennae on June 06, 2014, 0313 UTC
I have an idea regarding RF interfering TVs and power supplies and electronics.
I assume the Chinese govt. pays for the China Radio International radio show. What if those listeners with radio interference wrote to CRI complaining about the interference and blame it on electronics from China? Maybe China's govt. would crack down on devices leaving their country so we can hear the beloved CRI show more clearly?

I think the real solution is to rattle the commissions' cage politically, and get them to do their job in regard to part 15 enforcement.  I think in many cases it would be a case of too little, too late.  There are billions of cheap chinese electronic devices out there with fake UL and CSA certifications.  The saving grace is they have relatively short lives, so getting them stopped at the borders would do wonders in the long run.

OTOH, I can appreciate a very slow, slumbering FCC.  It is, however, a double edged sword.

Let's work on a group project to do away with all this 'Part 15' rubbish...

Who's up to designing and building a portable EMP device?.... ;-)

I can't find the article, but some contractor for the US made a drone that can selectively destroy things in a city with EMP.  That way it won't get hospitals and other stuff.
As seen on TV:
"Make it nice with an EMP device."

I remember back in the day when those of us in the MARS system were first told about such things...  it made old buzzards like myself cling onto our old tube gear that was said to be EMP proof but that was then... today everything rotates around circuits with wires smaller than a human hair...  or....

Stuff that goes 'poof' in the night... <sigh>

I heard in 2001 the Russian radars used tubes and they were pretty good for being such. They had the bonus of being emp proof. Good old Russians. Americans require their military jet runways to be cleaned. Russian jets reroute their jet intake when they are on the runways so they don't need mess around with cleaning.  Imagine a gritty war and you're sitting out there cleaning the runway.
