KCPR up with music and CW ID at 0321 UTC, on 6925 kHz USB, July 5, 2014. S9+ here. Audio is pretty good, but there is an audio hum when the music dies down.
T!
(edit) SOrry for the error, it is KCPR, not KMUD as I first reported. I heard the CW and assumed KMUD without actually listening to the ID...DOH!

WOWIE! Comin' in like the proverbial GANGBUSTERS here on the flats of the West Coast! S = 9 + 40 , very solid hifi USB signal, "Yellow Rose of Texas" etc! I will turn the volume way up and listen while hosing down the yard and roofs here, it is already like Beirut in the neighborhood and it will get a lot worse before midnight, here in the white trash ghettolands! Kevlar helmet and flak jacket here I come! Happy 4 th KCPR and thank you for the very noce program and hifi audio! If only you had some Gid Tanner, Earl Johnson, Dock Boggs, etc....Thanx again!

Finally! I'm getting audio above the noise here at 0336 UTC with C&W tune by man singer that the boys in the chat room say is "Yellow Rose of Texas".
UNID CW at 0344 UTC
0354 UTC CW then song by lady singer...yes, I believe it's Linda Rondstadt doing her version of the Eagles "Desperado"!
0357 UTC Sounds like some Rock & Roll, but I can't make out the tune with all the static crashes
0406 UTC CW then either SSTV or electronica?
0409 UTC I'm hearing music now, so I guess that was some electronica at 0406
(Signal lost completely now, but I see that Rockpicker has posted an SSTV! So I did hear an SSTV scan at 0406 UTC!)
Thanks for the show, or what I could hear of it kcpr op! Thanks for the link too...I will check that out in the morning later on this morning...time to hit the sack..it's way past my bedtime!
Ooops, I hear CW at 0423 UTC and a man announcer just after that! Then a man singing a song without instrumentation.
0427 UTC Man announcer briefly, then CW followed by a familiar sounding tune, then SSTV again at 0430 UTC then off.
I listened back on the song just after 0427, and I still can't quite ID it...almost sounded like Amazing Grace but I think it was something else. Well, that's all folks...good night from Skipmuck!

6925 USB Decent audio - cutting thru the static. ~ 3.2 khz bandwidth good steady signal strength..
3:37 utc "Yellow Rose of Texas"
3:53 utc CW ID - 'Desperado'
Hearing some of the 60 cycle hum here as well - mostly between numbers and during CW ID's.....when audio is low??
"Ghost Riders in the Sky"
....
4:30 utc Repeat same SSTV image as before - then Off Air
Thanks for the music Doc...

6925 at 0405 UTC--now playing spacey electronic music. Loud signal in Santa Barbara. Is this the same KCPR that was playing country music in the last hour or two? No IDs so far.

Catching KCPR here also just above the storm static just south of my QTH with a S5-6 and SSTV at 0406 along with CW id at that time also and also hearing some type of electronic type music played. Thanks for the 4th of July show! Too bad the signal wasn't stronger to beat out the storm static. :-\

6925 USB / 0335-0430* / JUL 05
Audio barely above noise floor here in Nebraska. Caught several country songs with CW IDs @ 0343, 0353, and 0405. Only song I recognized was Linda Ronstadt singing "Desperado."
SSTV transmission after CW ID @ 0405. Wasn't set up to copy.
Male singer immediately after end of SSTv--another station?
Assuming KCPR continued show. Heard a few more songs, another CW ID @0426 then another SSTV transmission.

Ghost Riders in the Sky
Tuned here on my portable I took with me while hunting fireworks and I had a great copy! Didn't find any fireworks so went home and spied on neighbor's fireworks in backyard and tuned in to KCPR. I missed the electronic music, I like that stuff.

SDR recording catch. 0321 sign on, somewhat weak, but stronger than usual for KCPR here out east.
Two SSTV transmissions, at 0406 and 0430, here is the latter which was slightly better quality:

Hey, caught a new pirate, also heard "Yellow Rose of Texas" @ 0337gmt., signal fair & no fading... 0353 "Desperado" female vocal, don't know who, maybe Ronstadt? Also heard the sstv noise & figured it was Wolverine. Thanks for the show.
