Received the following email from a MW DX group, I haven't been able to pick up the broadcast and have not seen any other loggings of the station.
Radio Gramox is a private FM-station in Tampere, Finland, on 106,8 MHz.
Recently they have got legal licence for AM-broadcasts on 3960, 7230 and 25760 kHz. Power is announced to be 50 Watts.
Just now I am listening to them on 3960 kHz. Stn plays old jazz & entertainment music from 1940's to 1950's.
Please, note that this is not a pirate stn. They have also licence to use 729 kHz which is the Tampere frequency in Geneva MW-plan. So far no activity noted on 729. Licece is valid until the end of October 2014.

What's the deal with such a short-term license?

I may have to organize a one man dx-pedition to old man Bailey's upper hayfield for this one.
However, it may have to wait until the armed boutique farmers start to clear out in mid-late September. They're not the friendliest sort of people.

"Technical" license of 50 watt and 3 months max is cheap and easy to get directly from telecommunications office. Licenses for longer operations and more power must be presented to government and signed by minister of telecommunications.
I guess heavy bureaucracy is not very attractive option as playing copyright-free oldies on SW is not the most profitable enterprise anyway.
