Title: Can anyone recommend some weird/spooky frequencies to a beginner?
Post by: ArthBH on October 15, 2014, 0004 UTC
Hi, I'm very new to this but very enthusiastic. Can anyone recommend any weird, spooky, or just interesting frequencies/stations (like number stations for instance)? I know of the buzzer and the pip, which are very interesting. Are there any more like this?

These stations don't use just one frequency; where they show up depends on the time of day, the season of the year, and maybe even the phase of the moon. Take a look at the database section of that site; it will tell you where and when various stations have been heard over the years, which is a good guide to finding them now.
