Title: Global 24 Signs off

We are gathered here today to remember a beautiful station. Global 24 was unable to pay its bills, but it sacrificed its life to revive shortwave's life. May it rest in peace.

*sounds of weapons and cries of "whhyyy?"

Okay maybe I made it a bit more dramatic, but in all seriousness,
It's a damn shame.

I confess to not being terribly surprised. Did anyone there run the numbers before starting the venture? (rhetorical question)

They didn't excite me from the start, by charging for QSLs...
Months later, no QSLs  :o
The rest was to be uneventful...

 I got an inaugural broadcast QSL right before the new year, didn't pay for it either, , I thought they said that qsl's that came with a donation would go out quicker or something like that. It's numbered 261 of 2500. If I had a scanner I would post it.
