Title: Finally got it

I'm guessing that it has been about 38 years since I received the Gilfer Shortwave catalogue and saw the radio. That NRD-505 with the beautiful red digital readout, I've never forgotten it. Today the matching NVA-505 speaker just came.

I just wanted to share and no my wife doesn't need to know how much I've spent on acquiring these two pieces of equipment.

Great looking combo, and congratulations!

I saw my first love in the Gilfer Catalog at about the same time, and ordered from them.  I will never sell that Drake R7.
