What is the meaning of the counting at the end of Even Less?

The counting is taken from a recording of a shortwave numbers station. It is understood that these stations are used by intelligence agencies to transmit coded messages to overseas operatives, although no government agency has ever acknowledged the existence of these stations or what their actual purpose might be.

On the nightly SDR Recording

0438 - UNID'd music being heard on frequency, occasionally above the noise.
0443 - YL in EE announcing numbers
0444 - Off or faded down into the noise

SDR recording catch. Came on at 0438
0443 YL speaking numbers, sounded like a recording from the old CIA operated E5 Counting Station.
