Title: Cluster beacons move out of 40 m ham radio band
Post by: SV1XV on May 23, 2015, 1724 UTC
The cluster of single letter beacons which operated for years near 7039 kHz, recently left the 40 m amateur radio band and moved up to new frequencies. New frequencies are:

7508.7  "D"
7508.9  "S"
7509.0  "C"

Thanks for the updates! Just today I heard two of the 10,782 beacons so I'll keep an eye on this group.

Hopefully the Wiki is updated to reflect the changes in the 7 MHz frequencies.

That's kind of a shame. They were a good propagation marker near the QRP watering hole.

I'll have to give 'em a listen in their new home.

A single letter beacon "T" (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CJP8M8kUwAAOWCh.png) (or a plain dash) is heard in Athens, Greece every evening just above 7010 kHz.
