11 meter CB band sporadic openings.
swooshing in and out with propagation.
signal extremely strong and clear for 5-10 seconds,
then completely out, back in....
hearing base station CB'ers in Georgia, South Carolina and Kentucky.
Usually only hear the "Clown Band" in the winter..

Im hearing things there today as well as the past several days.
At times camping out in this range seems boring, but i use it as a barometer for the rest of the day/evenings monitoring efforts.
For me, its cool to participate in earth sciences like this.
Currently sitting on 27065 before i make a shrimp run to the store for the bbq date.

Some sporadic opening on 29620 FM, guess it's good old KQ2H, up to s5 but fast and strong selective fading make it hard to ID, 11m band cluttered by brasilian and other SAM stations, more then usual. Using the NRD-545 and RTL-FC0013 SDR on the vertical.
