Title: Common and Precious" Beacon 10237.10 kHz 2300 UTC August 4, 2015
Post by: curious george on August 04, 2015, 2303 UTC
Got a chance to tune in earlier today, and I'm hearing the beacon again at 2300 UTC, although the signal is weaker, and the noise is higher.  Hopefully the signal level will pickup a bit as we approach sunset.

The beacon started to become audible  (barely) around 0057z and was in and out
for about 10 minutes. I tried recording it but didn't have much luck.
I could just barely see it on the water fall on the sdr.
My noise level has picked up quite a bit here lately because of being
so dry. I wish we would get a nice steady rain for 2 or 3 days.

will keep listening for the beacon, one of the things I enjoy doing with the radio's
used to chase the 4 meg beacons on the west coast but haven't heard them for
quite some time.

Hey Chuck!

Sorry for the late replay. I got a bit lost in work. Send you a DM in case you want a QSL Card. :)

Greetings,
