Hearing T on 7039.4 Khz......nice signal to boot time is 0030utc

Hey Tesla,
A bit confused here. You say you are copying on 7.039.4 Kc. NO such spur here AT QTH. I can only copy the primary on 6.998.4. NOTHING showing up here WITHIN 40 M.
Thoughts ? Spurs noted at 13.997.5 (at slightly HIGHER power than 6.998-try 13.997 frq as well !)), 27.993.4 (WAY down in power). No other spurs found on HF. Your state ?

Krystallo,
He's hearing a different beacon, not a report of yours.

Thought so.
BTW, are you able to give a state or rough QTH ?

Got T again tonight same freq....time 0130 utc
even with qso near by it stands out among the digital qrm

On 7039.4KHz I normally hear the Russian "M" beacon. In my last catch this week it was weak and I was unsure if it was malfunctioning or was a letter "T". I am thinking that maybe something broke or the Russians are playing games and changed the M to a T. Maybe you've made a very interesting discovery!

T is ruunning from 10 - 15 dB over the noise then fading out for ten seconds. I think this is my first time logging it

At 06:30 T was pretty strong but has weakened quite a bit by 07:00 PST. It is also low in frequency at 7039.260 KHz so it is likely a hobbyist beacon

Tesla,
do you have any history or background info on T?
Chris S. is wondering if it is a hobby beacon or otherwise.
Jim
T is considered to be a hobbyist beacon?
