It's back 7039.4 khz got it this morning at 1500 utc...stands out right through qrm...very cool catch
-
Jan 15 1515 utc 7039.4 khz T beacon solid copy both on home receiver and the Mojavie Tuner.
Lately there has been some strange digital signal near T and when both are competing, it reminds me of the famous
4096 beacons that I have heard over the years.
Have a Happy Radio Friday...

April 17 time 0240 utc...7039.4 khz I hear it weak in there with that whisper digital stuff...dam shame those guys now are at the qrp water hole...made coping qrp signal and the russian beacon fun before the whisper tards showed up.

Can this be a malfunctioning Russian beacon or is it a known pirate/ hobbyist beacon? Previous lists have always had the letter M tagged for 7039.400 coming out of Magadan, Russia. When I was in Fiji I heard M and K at the same time due to the receiver bandwidth being so so.
This source says that M was not sounding correct yesterday http://www.iarums-r1.org/iarums/latest.pdf
On my waterfall display this morning I could see the dashes that looked like a T but it was just too weak for audio and for carefully checking center frequency.
Right this moment I can actually hear what sounds like T but it is on 7039.350 KHz which seems far off frequency for the typical Russian beacon. Signal strength is 10 dB or so above the noise floor with periodic quick fading or interruptions in the signal. Also the time of day is wrong for receiving Russian beacons here.

7039.345 KHz beacon T, mild fading with peaks about 10 dB above the noise floor

I am hearing this here on the east coast at 1055z. Fair signal.
1107: It's even a little stronger now.
-
7039.360 KHz beacon T, maybe 10 dB peaks at best with fading
I heard the Russian M beacon this morning on 7039.400 so that answers my question of T and M being related

June 3 T slightly above the noise at 1200 utc...I have wondered if it was related to the wisper beacons that the hams run down on 7040 khz...
sometimes T is the dominate signal around the freq.

I wonder why there are only a few listeners that have reported T? You don't really have to know Morse to copy it LOL.
