This once-a-year broadcast could be an interesting challenge for folks on Sunday:
Radio Öömrang will broadcast on Feb.21, 2016 from 1600 to 1700 UTC on 15215 kHz in German, English and Frisian.

Radio Oomrang broadcasts once in a year on shortwave in lower German language via facilities of Media Broadcast in Germany. Radio Oomrang announces as “The Free Voice of Frisian People from Amrum island in Germany”.
Station ID is in english.

Finally, gotcha! I've been unable to hear this one for years, either due to being at work or to tuning in that one time when Öömrang was nominally on but had a giant carrier and no signal... This time, boom! English and German information, and Frisian interviews with locals. Reference to hearing this language (Frisian) and keeping it alive. Signal good at peaks but suffering lots of deep fades. SIO 433 onto the isthmus.
What a great idea! I love minority languages. I wonder if this station QSLs...

I wonder if this station QSLs...
There is no direct QSL known from Radio Öömrang (I myself tried it several times) - although the guy is a ham operator.
But you can get a QSL from the transmitter operator Media Broadcast: qsl-shortwave -at- media-broadcast.com

I tried that email address, qsl-shortwave -at- media-broadcast.com, but it bounced.
Found out what I did wrong. I added an audio clip and it exceeded the size limit. Edited it down to 10 minutes and it went through.
