Title: New Zealand NDB's in this morning...
Post by: Looking-Glass on March 12, 2016, 2201 UTC
The DX paths on the NDB band are gradually swinging about this way, haven't heard the Time Signal on 60KHz at all this week, checked a few times.  However, had a surprise this morning and logged the following:

KT    238KHz    Kaitaia New Zealand (2,119kms) 419 report at 1513z

WS   278KHz    Westport, New Zealand (2,081kms) 519 report at 1518z.

HK   310KHz    Hokitika, New Zealand (2,071kms) 519 to 529 report at 1507z.

The above haven't been heard for many months so it shows the seasonal shift is kicking in this way... :D

The NDB season is winding down here, and an increase in thunderstorm noise is the main culprit.  Disappointing propagation does not help.

I was able to log all three of the beacons you ment via the kiwiSDR, and IIRC, all were in good.
