Talking in tongues and shouting bloody murder? It sounded like those boys were mixing the strychnine with the shine, heavy on the shine tonight. S-9 signal, but the enthusiasm of the flock glorifying of the Spirit was distorting the audio. It didn't sound like Ralphie Boy, but who knows?

My folks, despite their most of the time questionable wisdom, proved to be spot-on in making my sister & me attend our aunt's 4 square pentup frustrated you name it church. Fortunately, & this is where my parents spot-on ness I continue to thank: we were both in high school & thoroughly cynical about... well pretty much everything. I remember my cousins German grandmother speaking in tongues in congregation. Strange times. Usually "Merle" my bud & I would skip the main service & walk around town smoking cigarettes & talking. He wound up drinking himself to death about 10 years ago. (Vietnam).      :(  RIP Merle.  :(
