Title: 6701.045 KHz
Post by: Teotwaki on May 06, 2016, 2341 UTC: Another unknown, a little bit above where Hexie2K resides. Peaking about 20 Db above the noise. Sort of like a dasher but has periodic variations. Not sure of the pattern

now at 6700.950, very strong signal

Strange stuff...I think some of the Pot Grow systems put out some weak dasher type signals that I occasionally hear around 8000 Khz
and they are not beacons at all....but who knows...

Post by: Teotwaki on May 12, 2016, 1535 UTC: I wish I knew the locations of more of these beacons! It would help me to understand when propagation windows will be open. otherwise my reception of them seems random at times.

If both beacons had the same antennas, oriented the same way and with the same transmit power then we might guess if they had the same location but I just don't know. Sometimes the hobby beacons drift quite a bit so it makes it tough to be sure. That is where the audio recordings posted to YouTube are so handy. Also, if someone outside of my area does not hear the same thing I do then I chalk it up to possible local RFI. That is where remote web receivers are so handy. They give me a chance to see how widely received the signal is at the same time as I hear it at my house.

6701.378 KHz a 2 second dasher
6701.576 KHz a 2 second dasher that seems to key up at the same time
