SDR recording catch. Repeated RMWW IDs, much like the logging from the other day: http://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,28049.0.html
Very strong, solid SIO 555. Yes, it was LSB not USB.
Off at 0333.

caught on SDR recording. killer signal here near DC. s8 w/booming audio. very minor fades, minor atmospheric noise. audio pushed nicely enough to pierce the conditions.

03.31 UTC heavy echo announcements by male DJ, some music in the background
03.32 UTC announcements as Doctor Tornado, giving station ID and "69-55"
03.33 UTC Radio Metallica Worldwide Shortwave, 69-55 powerhouse, piratestation of the nation
03.33 UTC from Radio Metallica Worldwide 69-55, see you later and.... sign off
Thanks a lot for the tip, Chris!
Had this one too on my SDR recorder in NW Germany, SINPO 24322 here
My first RMWW catch after decades! I hope they will return somehow or other!
Please QSL to my e-mail address, Dr. Tornado!

On the overnight SDR Recording
6955 kHz LSB, Signal widely variable, S3 to S8 into the Chicago area...
0331 - Is that some sort of digital mode I
am hearing, or just some distorted audio ?
0332 - Op Id's his self as "Dr. Tornado - 6955, we'll see you later..."
Hope to hear more of this elusive station.

Those guys always had a great signal, especially considering they were using a Grenade at 10 watts.
