Just received this response from RA about 9580 being off air early May:
Hello -
I am a daily listener of your programs via shortwave on frequency 9580. That has always been a very strong and reliable frequency here on the east coast of the United States. For the past few days, I have been unable to catch your transmissions on that frequency.
I would have considered it a fluke of shortwave broadcasting but some of your other frequencies are reaching here - lesser quality and time duration as 9580. Also, other stations broadcasting from Asia in the same meter band are still coming through.
Are you have difficulties with transmissions on 9580?

We did have an issue with the 9580 Transmitter over the weekend. The service has been restored as of yesterday morning and hopefully you are able to receive the transmissions again. Please let us know if you are still experiencing difficulties.
