A lot of noise
1200z Time pips, news
1205z Music program starting with Reggae, then YL singer. OM in between songs but can't make out what he is saying.

Last schedule I saw on RNZI's website said that 9700 is aimed at Papua New Guinea at that time, from 1058 to 1257 UTC IIRC. Good catch in that case.

I thought it was unusual picking it up past 1058z but didn't recognize it was a matter of where they were targeting as the reason for the signal disappearing. I thought my inability to receive was more the sun interfering later in the morning.

Oddly enough they transmit our way again starting at 1258z, but on 6170. I can usually hear it for a little while (that's 6:58 am in my locale, the sun's been up a little over an hour) but not for long.
