Title: I DXed my garage door
Post by: Antennae on September 23, 2016, 1621 UTC
I drove away from my home today and realized I didn't close my garage door. I knew that the first click would have more juice than subsequent clicks. I was tempted to click it through a chain link fence, but I saved my precious first click. It was all I had to keep me from turning around.  So I backed up to a clear shot, held the clicker high, and it worked!

I remember when keyless entry became an option on cars. I had a friend who owns a couple of car lots. We were out knocking around one day at a strip mall when he pulls a key fob out of the console and says "Watch this!" He hits unlock on the thing and horns beep across the parking lot. He mentioned the name of car maker whose fob it was and tells me there only five of them for the entire line they were introducing keyless entry with. It was worse than the days when the locksmith would come out with the ring of 20 odd keys or so that would unlock every car in a makers fleet.

Keyless entry, making car theft easy for all.
