Title: Selective fading on longwave

An interesting screenshot of 309 kHz Reedy Point, DE, a local pest, briefly undergoing selective fading, and eventually fading out for a few seconds.  This might explain how a DX station can pop up suddenly and produce a few decodes. For example Lauzon, QC on the same frequency.

I have experienced this with Chatham Island "CI" for 3,077kms on 322KHz, listened for nearly 40 minutes then out of the noise it came for about 15 seconds and then gone despite other New Zealand beacons coming in more or less continuous.  No two nights are ever the same on the NDB band...
