No idea what/who this is coming into Sea Girt, NJ. Seems like Spanish music....good amount of interference, coming in around S5. Little help?

That could be a legit MW station making it across the Atlantic from Spain or the Canary Islands. They're spaced every 9 khz. over there and it seems to me there is one around that frequency.
Do any of you guys have a fairly recent copy of the WRTH to help Matt out with this one? Mine is ancient and seems to have the ability to appear and disappear at will. It was here in the shack last week, but it's nowhere to be found now.

I have the latest WRTH, and for 1566 kHz (the closest frequency to this) for Europe, Middle East and Africa, we have the following broadcasters:
TWR Africa, Parakou (Benin) - 100 kW
BBC Somerset, Taunton (UK) - 0.6 kW
Premier Christian Radio, Guildford (UK) - 0.8 kW
Vahon Hindustani Radio, Den Haag (Netherlands) - 1 kW
Radio Iran, Bam (Iran) - 50 kW

That was quick! It could be Benin in Spanish intended for one of the former Spanish possessions in N.W. Africa and West Central Africa, especially since it's TWR and they do use MW in multiple languages as an international medium.
However, a few years back there were number of Spanish MW pirates running large amounts of power before a govt. crackdown. I wonder if they're back at it?

I happened to be up very late last night ('twas around 12:40 local time when I posted this, and I ended up staying up nearly til 3:00 - but I got to hear Radio Australia sign on to 9580, a first, and probably the only time that's going to happen) and have my brand spanking new WRTH right here in the listening station. (It's too modest to call what I have a shack just yet.)

TWRs transmitters (1566 & 1170):

If you hear them again, they have an Internet stream that you can compare against.
However, according to their Monday sked, they don't start until 0320 UTC.

Well that eliminates them. I wonder if the Spanish Pirates are back to battling with the current incarnation of the Inquisition?
