I have here about 300 GB Perseus recordings from two nights. I have a strange feeling that this will take a bit time. Final log will be ready around spring 2019...

We have been working a couple of years to improve various things at club QTH in Maakeski, 40 km from Lahti. Main concern has been reducing noise level. That situation is generally speaking very good - there is just one unknown noise source around 1500-1530 kHz. It comes from the direction of antenna. Compared to what it is like otherwhere in modern world, QTH noise status is excellent.

Lapland in North Finland has been a traditional DX-pedition location. It is a totally different world, but with good conditions (as those couple of days) one can simulate Lapland even in South. "Don't visit Lapland - wait Lapland to visit here!". ;)

Neat!!! But here is one for you to try and catch. It is 580KHz WCHS in Charleston, West Virginia. It is 5KW. What is unusual for this station is at night, they do not reduce power, but beam that 5KW due east to the Atlantic Ocean. So, good possibility that you may hear this one. 73!!!!!

SC is difficult, but I keep eye on it. :)

WMOB in Alabama must use daytime power too. Whenever it is heard, the choral music is wide and loud.

Generally speaking the best pattern would be straight up to North as Canadians do.
