Title: NHK Radio Japan, English language service, 11705 AM, 1400-1430z, 3/29/17

Decent signal with news of the world, one article specifically regarding how President Trump's new policies may impact the Japanese economy. Some QSB, SIO about 222-333. I listened on my PL-600 with the built-in antenna. It would undoubtedly have sounded better using the loop, but sometimes the easiest way to gauge a signal is to see how a portable catches it on its own.

Nice catch...maybe I will try them this weekend.  No chance of picking them at work.

Good luck! It transmits from Palau in the South Pacific at an azimuth of 270°. I got it a number of times during the a16 schedule cycle, but it was never a SIO 555 kind of signal.
