6940 AM
0300-0340z: Very faint signal, only occasionally able to hear fairly continual talking, man's voice, sounded like a relay of a MW talk, news or sports show, but not able to copy enough to ID anything.

use your other radio LEX and check WWCR's freqs   you may find the same programming   ;)

Good point, reminds me of this January 2009 incident in which WWCR was audible very strongly on a harmonic:     
Technical problem puts WWCR on 6430 (http://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,837.0.html)

At that time the "phantom" signal was just as strong and clear as on the intended frequency.  This current audio on 6940 is barely audible here in my location.  I'll try to compare with other flamethrower HF broadcasters to see if it matches any of 'em.

Roll back a week or two and look for a logging on 6940 ... I found the same thing - WWCR very weak; the signal became strong enough at one point, they ID'd and it was 'game over' for that bogey ...

see LEX you are not gettin that old YET    you remembered !!  ;)   this signal has been on 6940 for about a year   I can usually hear it every night    it's not anything new you just forgot about it  ;)
