This brings back sad memories of my 400 level lab class at U of MD. Some of the kids were so clueless, even as seniors. My lab partner was concerned because for a circuit we were making, we needed a few hundred mA, but the power supply was rated for several amps. He was afraid the power supply would force several amps through the circuit, burning it out. He was one of those 4.0 GPA types we had that was book smart and could memorize, but had no idea how things actually worked.

Reminds me of that schematic that has the flux capacitor and amphitheater.

The sad thing is someone went to the trouble to layout a board and etch it. Any design software worth its salt should have flagged all the design rule violations. On the other hand, if you do them in MSpaint like I do, maybe not...

The problem is obvious: a complete lack of knobs, the most important part of any circuit board.

How true, Al.
BTW, did your S.O. get that bag of doorknobs I sent her? Now she can give you brain adjustments without having to sneak up on you to conk you with a hammer. I sent the along plans for a "Knob Cannon" in case you get on that souped up Jazzy and try to make a run for it. We can't have you trying to make off with another batch of enriched uranium from Oak Ridge every time you get off the grounds.

What's that, another one of Al's cold fusion devices?
