Anyone hr the single dasher on 8.35 Mhz?
-
Listening around - no hear it in Tejas ...
How accurate is the 8.35 MHz frequency? Reason I ask, is, I can listen with a 250 Hz wide filter and being 500 Hz off will put me 'out of the money' so to speak ... (I did tune up and down the band +-1 kHz tho, and didn't hear anything doing that either) ...

Here in NY, I have a dasher on 8349 kHz at 2325 UTC on Sept 19, 2010. Steady signal. Although there are occasional utility bursts nearby, using the 500 Hz filter really helps block everything else out. Never thought I would ever need the 500 Hz filter on my R8B, until I started hunting these beacons.

Dasher coming into MD at 0000z. Weak, but audible.
Update: At 0005z, the signal suddenly came up in strength. Pretty good now, even with the t-storm static.
