Title: 1710 Test Tone 2343 UTC 7/20/2017

A continuous 400 Hz test tone noted right now on 1710, exhibiting fading at the same rate as the carrier but up to S5 at times.  No doubt from the same source as my previous two logs.

0142 UTC: Still there and much stronger now at a near solid S7

Off at around 0200 UTC.

I tuned there shortly after your post, but heard nothing.

I checked a few remote receivers and also found it coming in on BDM's remote Perseus in Detroit, but a bit weaker there.  No other receivers I checked had a copy on it.

Just came on again tonight, same 400 Hz test tone, now at 2348 UTC.

Have a very weak carrier on 1710, but nothing around 1710.4 - 0102Z.

Tones went off at 0030, but carrier was still present.  Carrier finally off at 0105 UTC, but now back with music at 0121 UTC!  I'll start a new thread.
