Title: Bangkok Meteorological Radio 6765.1 USB 1046-1101 UTC 23 Sep 2017
Post by: Skipmuck on September 23, 2017, 1143 UTC
1046 UTC A pleasant surprise this morning on 6765.1 USB when I tuned in to a YL in an unid language and it turned out to be Bangkok Meteorological Radio! A fairly good to good listenable signal too!
1050 UTC Music Box Interval Signal
1051 UTC OM in unid language
1059 UTC IS, then ID by synth voiced OM in English! Also clearly mentioned 6765.1 KHZ and then schedule in English

Time for my second non pirate radio reception report in over 25 years.....  :)

S4 - above and below the noise level

1152 - Hearing toned Interval Signal on the Yaesu locally
....... - Thanks for the tip, Skipmuck!
....... - Alternating periods of OM and YL talking
1222 - Interval Signal again
1229 - any speech here is now inaudible
1230 - Int Sig above & below noise level - unmistakable !

No positive ID, but still amazes me to hear this one across the Globe !
First Timer !

Nice catch!

6765 kHz USB is used by all sorts of stuff!  A good frequency to put in your scan bank (if you still have one of those, for non-SDR people ;))
